  • NCSE Events - Details of any upcoming NCSE Teacher Professional Training can be found here. To register for any of this training please click here.
  • Oide Events - Details of any upcoming Oide Teacher Professional Training and how to register can be found here.
  • Cruinniú na nÓgIreland’s national day of free creativity for children and young people, returns on Saturday 6th June 2026, with over 40 free events taking place across Donegal for children aged 0-18years. News Feature of the Week

Glenmaquinn NS - Offical Opening of new entrance block

Congratulations to Glenmaquin NS, which celebrated the official opening of it's new entrance block this morning. It includes a bright, spacious entrance hall with a renovated toilet block and new office space.

They also unveiled the art projects completed through the Blast and TAP residences through the Donegal Education Support Centre with support from local artists Michelle Doherty and Karen O'Kane. Thank you for the warm welcome to your beautiful school.

  • Survey related to PhD in Education at UCC - My name is Stephen Murphy, and I am currently undertaking a PhD in Education at University College Cork. I am writing to seek your permission for members of your community to participate in ananonymousonline questionnaire that examines the potential use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Leaving Certificate coursework. Part of this study involves Leaving Certificate teachers completing an anonymous online questionnaire focuses on their perspectives on the use of AI. This email relates to this stage of the research. Teachers of Senior Cycle are invited to complete an anonymous online questionnaire. Participation is entirely voluntary and anonymous; no students, teachers or schools will be named in any publications. Teachers will only be included if their consent is obtained. There is a Word document attached to this email. I would be grateful if you could circulate the contents of this Word doc amongst your membership and put the content of the Word doc on your social media accounts. A PDF information sheet for teachers is also attached for circulation. An image for social media is also attached if you wish to use it. I would also like to reassure you that the highest standards of confidentiality and safeguarding will be maintained throughout the study: 
    • No school, teacher, or student will be named in any publication;
    • All data will be anonymised and stored securely on UCC-approved systems in compliance with GDPR; and
    • I have a Teaching Council Number and I have completed UCC Garda Vetting and will comply with the Children First Act 2015 and UCC’s Child Safeguarding Statement.
