News Feature of the Week

The 5 Chairs - Introductory Workshop for Educators with Louise Evans

We were delighted to be able to host this workshop in our Centre on Monday 5th October 2026.

Educators left inspired, challenged and equipped with practical strategies to improve communication, strengthen relationships and navigate difficult conversations with greater confidence.

Louise's engaging and thought-provoking approach brought the 5 Chairs model to life, providing powerful insights that can be applied both in the classroom and beyond. The workshop explored how the 5 Chairs approach can help educators better understand and respond to challenging behaviours, emotions and relationships in the classroom, while developing practical strategies to support positive interactions and wellbeing.

A huge thank you to all the participants from across Donegal and Sligo who travelled to attend the workshop. We really appreciate your time, enthusiasm and engagement. A special thank you to Annette Patton (Donegal ETB) for bringing the 5 Chairs to Donegal and making this valuable learning opportunity possible. Louise is pictured with Kieran McTaggart (Director), Annette Patton, and teachers from Scoil Iosagain, Buncrana and was the guest speaker at the annual NAPD conference last Thursday in Galway.
