Practical ideas for creating inclusive, connected and restorative primary classrooms
Join us for a practical and engaging event exploring how Global Citizenship Education (GCE), Restorative Practice and conflict resolution can become part of everyday primary classroom practice.
Together, we’ll explore how teachers can build classroom communities rooted in relationships, empathy, dialogue, fairness, participation and belonging, while helping children navigate difference, disagreement and increasingly complex local and global issues.
Through practical workshops, discussion and reflection, we’ll connect everyday classroom experiences with wider themes of human rights, equality, peace, justice, diversity and active citizenship.
What to expect
Global Village, along with guest speakers from Oide and Children in Crossfire, will help teachers connect something they encounter every day- relationships and conflict- with the wider aims of Global Citizenship Education. By linking restorative language and conflict-resolution with questions of fairness, voice, power, inclusion and global justice, the event will offer teachers practical approaches that can be embedded across everyday primary practice.
Come along, share ideas, gain practical tools and discover how small moments in the classroom can create big connections to global citizenship.
