From Home to School and Back Again: Supporting Your Autistic Child Through Daily Transitions
Overview
This parent-focused webinar, led by an Occupational Therapist, explores how to support your autistic child through two of the most emotionally and physically demanding parts of the day: leaving home for school and returning home after school.
Morning departures and after-school transitions can place significant demands on a child’s nervous system, often impacting regulation and family wellbeing.

Participants will:
- focus on practical strategies rooted in co-regulation, predictability, sensory awareness and emotional safety
- gain a deeper understanding of why these transition points can be challenging
