Facilitator - Chris Oliver, founder of Boyne First Aid and certified PHECC Assistant Tutor
After more than 20 years as an IT engineer in the tech sector, Chris found his true calling in first aid and emergency response. Volunteering with Civil Defence ignited a deep commitment to community safety in Chris, and led him to complete the Emergency Medical Technician course in 2010.
In 2014, Chris took his commitment a step further when he established a Community First Responder group in Navan and trained to become a PHECC-certified CPR instructor. It was through teaching that he discovered a genuine passion for helping others develop life-saving first aid skills, and he launched Boyne First Aid in 2017.
Chris combines his front-line experience with the highest training standards. He is a PHECC Assistant Tutor and a qualified QQI Manual Handling instructor. His teaching experience spans classrooms, boardrooms, construction sites, department stores and even shorelines, bringing training to life in every environment.
Chris’s approach is simple: learning should be relevant, enjoyable and memorable. Under his guidance, Boyne First Aid Training is more than just a training provider; it is your trusted partner for confidence and competence in first aid.
