NEPS Group Consultation Community of Practice for Post-Primary Special Education Teachers

NEPS will be facilitating group consultation meetings for post-primary SET to develop communities of practice, comprising of one meeting per term (3 in total), targeting 15 - 20 teachers.

Time: 2.00 pm – 3.30 pm (1½ hours)

Content: Content will include an information share on supporting students who are reluctant speakers/experience anxiety around speaking or who have a history of selective mutism in post-primary schools.

Participants will have the opportunity to raise a wide range of issues, and to draw on the experience of teachers from other schools in the region.

An emphasis is placed on sharing of resources and expertise between participants to promote best practice in supporting pupils with special educational needs.

Time will also be set aside for discussing the concerns that you would like to bring to the session.
